Travelers who want to view the art collections can choose between single gallery admission tickets, which grant access to either the National Gallery or the European Art Gallery, or combination tickets, which include entry to both galleries.

- Some—though not all—galleries are wheelchair-accessible.

How to get there
The museum is situated on Revolution Square (Piața Revoluției) in the center of Bucharest. The museum is approximately a 10-minute walk from Roman Square (Piața Romană) and Universitate metro stations.

The National Museum of Art of Romania is spacious and usually uncrowded, especially in the morning. It is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and during public holidays.

Earning its name from the Romanian Revolution of 1989, which saw Communist dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu overthrown, Revolution Square attracts the attention of many sightseers. As well as being the setting for the National Museum of Art of Romania, the square also hosts several other important monuments including the Memorial of Rebirth, which honors the victims of the revolution; the 19th-century Romanian Athenaeum concert hall; and the former headquarters of the Romanian Communist Party, where Nicolae Ceaușescu made his last speech before fleeing Bucharest by helicopter.
