Discover the ancient city of Petchaburi on a private, half-day tour from Hua Hin. Explore the dramatic shine at Khao Luang Cave, where elegant chedis meet dangling stalactites, and 170 Buddha statues rest in the dim, cavernous interior. Take in the riverside grandeur of Wat Pra Sri Mahathat, whose golden Buddha is among Thailand’s most beautiful. Stroll the elegant grounds of Khao Wang, King Rama IV’s hilltop summer residence; the grounds include a towering crimson pagoda and a slender stupa that offer stunning views of the city below.
More

* A traveler said: "It takes one hour to get by car from Hua Hin to Petchaburi palace. There is a nice view from windows of the palace located on the hill and you get there by cable car. The palace itself is not particularly jaw dropping: only several sparsely furnished rooms and you cannot take pictures inside. Dress code is strictly enforced. Shoulders and knees have to be covered. If your shorts are too short guys you will, have to pull them down to cover the knees and if it is impossible you will have to rent a thin blanket for a few baht. After the palace you drive to a nearby temple which is OK. but pretty middle of the road for Thailand. The most interesting is the last attraction - the “royal cave” with countless golden Buddhas but be prepared for a 100 step walk down to the cave and then the same 100 steps up to get out. Not a huge challenge but definitely not for older or disabled people, especially on a hot, sticky day. The trip ends with a nice lunch included in your price at one of the hotels in town. Our guide was pleasant and informative. We were back in our hotel around 2 pm. Overall a nice side trip from Hua Hin once you got your fill of the beach and shopping malls in town."

Hua Hin and Cha-am’s name and fame as a quality beach destination merges with the fact that this retreat for relaxation seekers has long been favoured by the past and current members of the Royal Thai family. A good 3 hours’ drive south from Bangkok, the sandy shores flow gently over into a verdant green landscape, characterized by gently-rolling hills and slices of the country’s deeply-rooted connection with Buddhism. Blending all elements together and culture, nature and religion form the backbone of a tailored escape, away from the beaches and into the other side of this invigorating region.

Escape to Pranburi’s natural serenity on a private 5-hour tour from Hua Hin. Stroll through a tranquil plantation past sun-ripened bananas, pineapples, mangoes and papayas, then step aboard a small motor boat for a leisurely ride down a slow-moving river. Pass brilliant birdlife and watch for monkeys, nose into mangrove swamps and learn the names of jungle plants that line the banks. Stretch your legs amidst mangrove trees and follow the river to the Gulf of Thailand, passing tiny fishing boats weighed down with the day’s catch of fresh seafood.
More

* A traveler said: "Tailored to the outside visitor wanting to appreciate the natural habitats, religious history and economic niches of the Pran Buri area, this tour takes you to a local pineapple farm for a light snack of fresh pineapple wedges, a Chinese temple overlooking the river and mangrove swamps, down onto the river for a boat tour of the local flora, fauna and Burmese fishing culture and finally to the mangrove forest. The tour starts early at 0800 and we hadn’t had breakfast, so we opted instead of the mangrove forest for lunch at a local seaside restaurant, as most of our group were rural Thais not unfamiliar with the natural surroundings. The tour guides were flexible and adapted to our preferences."

Drive up the hill to the best vantage point for a magnificent view of the beautiful coastline of Hua Hin. One of this tour's highlights is Wat Huay Mongkol, home to the enormous statue of Luang Phor Thuad. Luang Phor Thuad is a legendary Thai monk revered for his enlightenment and ability to perform miracles. The statue, which can be seen from miles away, has him sitting in the meditation pose. Wine lovers especially will shine to this next destination on the tour's itinerary, Hua Hin Hills Vineyard. Guests will have the opportunity to do some wine tasting (own expense) should they wish. The best time to visit is February/March when it is harvest time. After roughly one hour here you will move onto Plearnwan.
