Parks & Gardens
Visit Lake Gardens, officially named “Perdana Botanical Gardens”, is the oldest and most popular park in Kuala Lumpur, surrounded by lush greenery in a 227-acre parkland. Visit KL Bird Park, which is located adjacent to the Lake Gardens and is the world’s largest free-flight walk-In aviary, sprawling approximately 20.9 acres (8.46 ha) of verdant valley terrain. Visit Orchid Garden that showcases over 800 varieties of orchids including exotic species, which thrive abundantly on one hectare of floral paradise. Visit Deer Park, home to many species of deer. The most interesting to look out for would probably be the mouse deer or “kancil”, which is the world’s smallest hoofed animal and a popular figure in local folklore due to its legendary wit. The last stop is The Butterfly Park. It houses some 6,000 butterflies of over 120 species.
