A postal adventure!
The entire experience from the rail ride to the interactive exhibits, were both entertaining and educational. They held the attention of adults and children. When I told friends we were going they looked at us funny, anyone who assumes that this museum is boring is missing out!

A fun couple of hours at a reasonable price

A great museum with a fun ride. Lots of interesting information with interactive displays, especially for kids. The biggest downside was DO NOT eat anything from the cafe. We queued for a drink, & was going to order a slice of cake. While in the queue, the server kept touching her long hair, & had dandruff on her shoulder, & was all over the uncovered cakes & other food, as were the kids in the queue. Her hair should have been tied up & the food covered.

Such a great unique tour, a great experience. The trip in the mail train was great and seeing how it operated through the ages was also good.

It was interesting to see the journey of our postal services and what it is now. As we use the post office now for parcels mostly also to see things like the airmail box

Half term fun with my 6yr old and baby . Pre book . We didn’t think we would spend as much time as we did , we got there just before 11 , the rain ride had a long wait 20 mins , but aaa worth the wait . My son really enjoyed it it’s interactive and story as you go, it is loud and dark so could be scary for some children . The rain side also has lots to do . Once you cross over the museum there is a café to stop and have lunch which is probably needed . The museum was good lots to do again definitely worth a visit we had to start going quick as needed to get a train but can definitely do 2.3/3 hrs there

How to Get There

It’s best to use public transit instead of driving, as the museum is within the London Congestion Charge zone and doesn’t have a parking lot. The two exhibition spaces are located across the road from one another, about a 10-minute walk from Farringdon, King’s Cross St. Pancras, Russell Square, and Chancery Lane stations. Buses 17, 46, and 341 also serve the area.

London’s Top Picks for Transport Enthusiasts

Whether you’re an avid railway historian or parent to a transport-crazy toddler, London offers plenty of options. After riding the Mail Rail, take the Piccadilly line south to the London Transport Museum, where around 450,000 artifacts reveal the history of the capital’s travel network; travel up the Thames to see HMS Belfast, a retired warship; or head to nearby King’s Cross railway station, in search of the famous Platform 9 ¾.
