Anthony Quinn Bay

The Basics

This is one of Rhodes’ most undeniably picturesque beaches, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, or simply watching the sunset. Many boat tours and shore excursions make a swimming stop at the bay, along with Kallithea Springs and Afandou Beach, the longest beach on the island. Options range from a laid-back sail aboard a traditional wooden ship with time for snorkeling to a day aboard a party boat, complete with champagne, beer, and music on full blast.

Amazing
We had a great day! You get to see the beautiful scenes reachable by water on Rhodes. Plenty of time to snorkel and some background/insights on the sights are told by the guides. The boat was super comfortable and the food and drinks were great too.

Boat Trip to LINDOS with Swimming Stops at Anthony Quinn's & Tsambika Bays
The transfer worked wonderfully. We were picked up from the bus stop and let out again. The boat (Discovery) was nice, you could lie down at the front and had a nice view. It was great to be in Lindos first to eat and then later for the swim stops. We liked Lindos very much. We would definitely go there again.

Boat Trip to Anthony Quinn, Kallithea & Traganou Bays
It was a very nice trip! We enjoyed swimming in the 3 bays and relaxing in the sun on the boat. Also, we really liked the lunch and drinks that were provided. We booked the bus transfer from and to our hotel as well which was well organised. Only the guidance from the bus to the boat was a bit chaotic because of unclear instructions. This trip is worth your money and definitely something you should do during your vacation on Rhodos.

Boat Trip to Anthony Quinn, Kallithea & Traganou Bays
This was a lovely, cooling way to spend a day in Rhodes. Each of the three bays were beautiful and we had plenty of time for snorkelling and swimming. The lunch was fresh and traditional and the beer was cold. Our transfer from hotel to boat trip also went very smoothly and the staff at each point were friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Boat Trip to Anthony Quinn, Kallithea & Traganou Bays
We were so glad that we booked this excursion. It was our trip of a life time. This was one of our best excursions. Captain George was a great host and Chef!! My husband, also a Chef had great conversations with the Captain George. The islands we visited were breathtaking and the water was a blue I can't describe!! Thank you Captain George and your wonderful ship assistant for making this one of the most incredible memories!

The Story Behind the Name

Anthony Quinn purchased the bay and beach from the Greek state for a nominal sum, a gift to him for putting the island on the map. Later, however, as Quinn progressed with plans to transform the space into an arts and film center, the ‘gift’ was taken away, causing friction between the actor and his beloved second home.
