No set finish time take as long as to want for a relaxed day of walking and being driven. Bath is one of the most ancient cities in the West of England. Called “Aquae Sulis” after Sulis, the deity that locals used to worship at the time of the Roman conquest, the city became famous into the Empire for its healthy thermal waters – reason why it has been later called Bath. Your friendly local guide will welcome you by one of the Bath’s landmarks – the Gothic Abbey. After a quick introduction to the city history, get ready to move ahead and discover the town. Enter in Queen Square, look at the peculiar architecture of Royal Crescent, pass by the beautiful Pultney Bridge and stop by the astonishing entrance of the Ancient Roman Baths. While enjoying the pleasant walk through the streets and alleys of the historical centre, your guide will tell you stories, curiosities and anecdotes – for instance, did you know that Jane Austen used to live at Royal Crescent?
