The Basics
Cooking classes at the Yangshuo Cooking School range from a few hours to an entire week. Most visitors opt for a half-day class, which typically includes a visit to a local market to learn about regional ingredients, followed by a hands-on lesson in a traditional Chinese farmhouse. Dishes might include beer fish, eggplant with soy and oyster sauce, or duck with pickled ginger and chilies. After preparing the meal, enjoy the fruits of your labors in the serene courtyard. Families visiting Yangshuo can attend the Yangshuo Cooking School as part of a multi-day adventure through the region, with other activities such as biking, caving, and river cruising.

How to Get There
The Yangshuo Cooking School has two locations: in Yangshuo on Binjiang Road on the banks of the Li River, and in the village of Chao Long, about 3 miles (5 kilometers) outside of Yangshuo. Transportation is generally included.
