Cliffs of Moher Express Private Luxury Car Tour (ITA Best Irish Private Tours)

Fantastic experience. Very much worthwhile. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about Irish history. The cliffs of Moher are amazing. With a private tour we weren’t tied to bus schedules so we could spend as much time as we wanted at the attractions that were most interesting. Would definitely encourage others to take the tour.

Our driver joe was excellent. From start to finish see less and relaxing, best way to see the countryside and cliffs.

We opted to use a private driver for our journey from Dublin to see the Cliffs of Moher rather than spend the day on a crowded bus. I will give our pros and cons of our experience. Pros: Our driver, Joe, was on time, dressed professionally, and was a very safe driver. We saw some beautiful parts of Ireland outside the city. We weren’t confined to the schedule of a big bus tour. Cons: We wish we had been given an agenda of the day and the stops we would be making. Our driver was very very soft spoken and it was difficult to hear him. He didn’t do a whole lot of talking, maybe because of that. We were dropped off at a restaurant for lunch without asking us to check and see if it was a place we wanted to eat. I have food allergies. Luckily I found something I could eat and the place was indeed charming, but, again, it would have been nice to have known ahead of time where we were going. All in all, and after having read great reviews from others I think we were expecting more of an interactive tour guide, especially for the amount of money we spent. What we got was more of just a private driver. I debated about the number of stars. My husband wanted to give three stars, maybe because he is a former tour guide and has a certain standard he expects. But, in the end we got there safely, saw the cliffs and a couple of other sites, and got back safely. So I’m leaving it at four stars. Good, but room for improvement.

James was a superb ambassador for Irish culture both then and now. Through casual banter and historical anecdotes, the 12-hour day raced by. Safe and impeccably clean, his Mercedes offered great views of the lush landscape and architecture we had hoped to see on our first trip to Ireland. So comfortable and relaxed, I was able to unwind and truly enjoy my time with my daughter. James picked great places for photos and pointed out even tiny points of interest if we mentioned them. He ensured that we tucked in all of the items on my list in perfect time--claddagh ring shop, live music, Doolin, horse farms, castles, Irish coffee, caves, Michelin star food, top golf courses, grazing sheep, and the Cliffs of Moher. Due to his own extensive travel around the world, he was adept at offering connections and suggestions for us regarding so many additional aspects beyond our day trip-restaurants, tea, tours, neighborhoods in Dublin; he even helped us arrange a last-minute Covid test at the airport. I will return with the whole family and recommend his tour and expertise to my friends. Before I book a thing, James will be my first point of contact. We will stay longer next time. There is so much to learn and see. James provides a five star experience which is completely worth the cost. Don't waste your time with anyone else.

The best was to see a piece of Ireland. A Tour only made of our wishes in a comfortable and cosy way. When you do a Tour like this on that way you can be flexible with the weather or the stops as you want.

My husband and I had the most amazing time with James. We were able to see so much more than on a “standard” tour. James went out of his way to make sure that our trip was memorable, personalized and perfect. Having such a knowledgeable and personable guide made our day incredible. A full day tour with James is a must do for anyone seeking a once in a lifetime experience.

I highly recommend a private tour with James at Liberty Irish Tours. We had a limited amount of time in Ireland and wanted to make the most of our day. He tailored the day to our needs (stopping for lunch and photos at our leisure). It was a relaxing way to see the cliffs and Wild Atlantic way. He's very knowledgeable about the area. James was very responsive with communication leading up to the tour and picked up from our hotel right on time. We're looking forward to booking another tour on our next trip to Ireland!

James was an outstanding guide and driver who was extremely knowledgeable of the sites and history, as well as professional, patient, and enthusiastic. His luxury van was just the right vehicle for traveling along the west coast of Ireland and the Cliffs of Moher. This private tour is a must do if you are in Dublin. Our guide James was excelent, he arrived on time, and has over 20 years plus experience. We drove in a luxury Mercedes car, and made several nice stops before getting to the Cliffs...including a very nice lunch(fish and chips) at a local restaurant that James recomended just before arriving to the site. James knows very much about Irelands history, we learned a lot from him since he is from Dublin and knows a lot and he answered many questions we made in our trip. The Cliffs are just breathless and we took very nice pictures and had good weather that day. I will really recomend this tour to anyone that visits Dublin
