Staff were friendly and informative and the creation of the gardens an interesting story. You can take a 40 minute public bus from Juneau downtown transit station for $2.00 to the entry gate.

As a passenger on an open air motorized tour we went up the mountain as we viewed the rainforest vegetation. There was a large viewing stand at the top to take panoramic pictures. The guides were knowledgeable and so very welcoming and down to earth! (Easy $2.00 city bus ride back and forth.)

Strange Beauty in the Rainforest

What a delight this attraction is! The flowers in the upside down tress were simply spectacular while also being head scratching! lol The staff was so welcoming and friendly; the gardens, and the story behind them, was shared with such heart. You could see how much the guides and other staff care about Glacier Gardens and sharing its story to visitors. From waterfalls to exploding berries, from a 700lb eagle’s nest to a 600 ft climb to a hothouse view of Juneau, this tour comes highly recommended!

Juneau has many trails for hiking, Steve made Glacier Gardens so everyone visiting can get a chance to enjoy the Tongass rainforest. The view is one unique look, you see the whole panoramic scene. Juneau has been blessed with some of the most lovely and understanding visitors, we appreciate all of you.

Interesting way to spend an hour.

This tour takes you on a ride through dense forest up about 600 feet to an overlook. The view is of the surrounding country with the Juneau Airport prominent. Throughout the trip there are areas where the proprietors have planted ornamental flowers. There are also a number of "Flower Towers" which are fairly large trees, felled by a landslide 30 or so years ago, stuck into the ground upside down. The now upright root ball is planted with more flowers. Odd but visually interesting.

Thank you for taking time to visit us at the Gardens, we try to give a informative and fun tour through the Tongass rainforest. From the boardwalk the Gastineu Channel runs from downtown to Auke Bay, Steve tried to make the view panoramic. Fantastic, geogeouse and beautiful have described the Flower Towers but "Visually interesting" is a very unique. Juneau appreciates all the wonderful visitors who have taken the time to come.
