Private Tour:Ring of Kerry,Kerry Cliffs, starting in (from) Killarney

This tour was awesome. Our driver Tony is quite the personality, if you know what I mean (you’ll understand that comment when you take his tour). Tony showed up at our hotel on time and took us on a very pleasant tour of the ring of Kerry and places in between. He finds out what you like and recommends great points of interest. I usually just drive myself around but I’m really glad we took this tour as I would never have found the great spots that Tony knows, he seems to know every bump in the road. The only tiring part of the trip was getting in and out of the car to take hundreds of photos of all the wonderful scenic views. I’ll be recommending this trip to friends and family. We booked the trip a couple of days in advance and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The driver, Brian, was extremely friendly, knowledgable and brought us to places my parents had never been to, and they have been going to Kerry for 50 years! Also this tour goes to areas the buses cannot reach due to the roads. The van would fit 5-6 people very comfortably and the freedom to stop where you like for how long you choose really makes the day.

This tour was fantastic. We had Will Fleming, who has received numerous other excellent reviews ... and we found out why. He’s very informative on so many fronts - history, politics, economics, nature, etc., all while he navigates the windy, often narrow roads of the ring. He was also very accommodating to our needs, including access by car to the cliffs of Kerry, which is normally not allowed, and finding us a charming lunch spot on our personal time table. Compared to a large bus tour or trying to enjoy this trip in our own car, this tour is a no brainer, so happy we booked it!!

We booked this tour of the ring of Kerry, even though we had rented a car, because I’ve read that the roads are pretty treacherous in some parts and with tour buses, it was a difficult trip. I am so glad I did! We were driving in from Dublin that morning and Peter stayed in communication with us via telephone to schedule a pick up time. He picked us up promptly at the Holiday Inn in Killarney, and he was so knowledgeable about the area. We saw a waterfall, and cliffs, and castles, and beautiful beach and country side views. Some I had suggested and some he had. We even stopped at a quaint authentic Irish pub for a bathroom break and a pint. He talked to us about the history or Kerry and Ireland along the way, and it was a really great tour. Definitely worth the money. There were 4 of us, and we all enjoyed ourselves. We weren’t squished in a car either. He had a 6 seater car that made the trip even more interesting. Thanks Peter!

Perhaps our expectations were too high, but we were expecting a tour, not just a taxi ride. Our driver was very accommodating, pleasant and brought us to the beautiful sights of the Ring of Kerry, plus an additional couple of requests we made. However, we were anticipating context and insight in addition to the ride as is typical for tours. Even more disappointing, the taxi that arrived to bring the 4 of us for our 9 hour excursion was very uncomfortable for 3 adults in the back seat.

Patrick was amazing!! So much history and knowledge. Really catered to what we wanted on our tour. It was just my husband and I on a private tour. The cliffs of Kerry are a must!!!

It was a tour of a lifetime! We had such an excellent tour guide named William. He was such a wealth of information. Felt very comfortable & safe throughout the ride. We had a party of six and everyone absolutely loved the tour. I would highly recommend this private tour!!!!

Our tour of the Ring of Kerry with Richard on August 29, 2018 was superb! We departed from our hotel in Killarney for a full day tour with our driver Richard. The whole experience was wonderful, well-paced and enlightening. He was a knowledgeable, gracious guide and host! We highly recommend a small venue private tour like this as it is well worth the small added cost per person.W and L from Florida

This was truly an incomparable tour. William Fleming is local to Killarney and gave us both the best historical overview and kept us laughing he whole time. It was great to give my husband a break from driving and have someone there who could answer all our questions. Highly recommend.

My wife and I booked a private tour of the Ring of Kerry and loved it. Billy, a gentleman of approx. 56 years old, was the driver and tour guide. His knowledge and insights made this an very special day and the highlight of our 9 day trip through Ireland. We are VERY glad we did not try to drive this ourselves. First, we would never have found some of the most special spots that Billy knew. Second, we would have struggled trying to enjoy the scenery while also keeping the car on the very narrow roads. Third, we would have missed all the insight and expertise offered by Billy. He knew the history, he knew how to avoid the giant tour bus crowds, and he brought everything to life for us. I highly recommend investing the money.

This tour was by far the absolute best experience of our entire stay in Ireland! We were lucky to get the best weather they've seen in decades. Our tour guide, Angela, went way above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Angela picked us up promptly and asked us a few questions about what we wanted to see/do. Knowing that we had the kids with us ages 8 and 5, she suggested some stops for us as well. The van was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Angela was full of knowledge about the rich history and culture of Kerry. She made our entire journey just so much fun, making jokes, engaging the kids with facts and questions, and overall being warm and kind. When we told her that we were exhausted from our long journey to Ireland and our not-so-comfortable Airbnb accommodations, she was able to suggest a hotel where she was acquainted with the owner to get us a great room at a great price. She even helped us gather our luggage from our Airbnb and drive us to the hotel! I honestly feel like we made a friend in Angela. Our family will remember her as an integral part of our amazing visit to Kerry and Ireland. If you're planning to bring your elementary-age children with you to Kerry, request Angela as your tour guide - you will love her just as much as we did!

We had rented a car and were planning on driving the Ring of Kerry ourselves. In doing some reading the night before, we realized it would be a lot of driving on narrow roads in a large vehicle (there were 6 people in our party, including 4 adults and 2 kids) and ended up booking a last minute tour with Peter. Peter was great at communicating with us despite the late hour. He was on time with his fantastic car, and was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was a fantastic guide, telling us about the history of the area, helping us to avoid places and times we'd be overrun with tour buses, and customizing the tour for what we were most interested. I would highly recommend booking with Peter if you can, and enjoy a relaxing and gorgeous day around the Ring of Kerry!

What a great time we had with our driver, Denis, we laughed all day! He was prompt, courteous, and willing to stop anywhere for those kodak moments! It was nice to be able to take a break from driving ourselves and sit back and enjoy the day, the scenery, and the company. Would highly recommend!

Simply amazing!! our tour guide was so great! he took us everywhere we asked and more! the places he suggested to sight see and to eat were so beautiful. I am so glad we got a local to take us around instead of driving he knew his way around and we spent less time on the road. He took us to some hidden places and no area was crowded with people. Don't hesitate book now!

Our tour driver was excellent and was very knowledgeable about the area! Highly recommend booking this tour. It was much easier to explore the Ring of Kerry without having to worry about driving ourselves and mapping out where to go. Our friend was proposing to his girlfriend on the tour and the driver helped us pick out the location that would be the most beautiful setting!

William was our tour guide and we couldn't have been happier with him or our experience. He picked us up promptly and never appeared to be in a hurry or rushed to return us to our hotel. He was a wealth of information about all aspects of Irish geography, history, politics, and culture. He spent virtually the entire time with us talking and answering our questions. When we got to site, he explained what we would see and suggested the best angles or approach to get the best views. The only criticism we had was we didn't get responses to our questions when we tried to contact the tour company ahead of time. I would highly suggest this tour.

Great tour! While others slowly plodded in big busses, this trip was fun and nimble. Great sites and we could pull over anytime we saw something that interested us. Highly recommend doing the Ring of Kerry this way.

Perfect way to see the Ring of Kerry and enjoy a wonderful lunch along the way. We enjoyed the tour so much that we booked the Dingle Peninsula tour for the next day. The drivers were gracious, considerate and explained what we were to see and the towns we visited. The vans were comfortable, spacious and virtually new!! The restaurants they chose for lunch were excellent! We highly recommend this wonderful way to see the most beautiful scenery! Don't waste a perfectly wonderful trip by trying to drive those roads yourself!
