Sherkhan is an amazing driver and guide of the Aurangabad area. He will pick you up on day 1 and drive you to the Ajanta caves, where you can hire an official guide for the caves for INR 1800 for up to 5 people. But what really made this tour special is that Sherkhan went above and beyond to make our stay great - from finding great spots for lunch we would have never found on our own (we did not eat at the monuments, which was expensive) to taking us to a silk weaving factory. When we purchased sarees at the factory to wear to a wedding two days later in Mumbai, Sherkhan's sister jumped in and made our saree blouses in 4 hours, which is nothing short of a miracle, before we got on the train that night. I cannot recommend Sherkhan and this tour enough. He is a kind, honest and genuinely good guy who runs a great business.

I did an online booking for a 2 day Aurangabad Ajanta and Ellora Caves tour. Being in the mid fifties and doing the tour single, I was very scared, but what a pleasant surprise! From the start the online correspondence was professional and Sherkhan, the tour guide, made contact, keeping me updated and at peace. I met him at the airport, and although he waited more than an hour for my flight, he was calm, professional and friendly. He is an excellent driver, knows the region, gives handy guidance, always keep you updated on what to expect next, but most of all, he makes you feel save.
