A History-Lover's Dream!

Our guide, Kristin, was delightful. Her sense of humor and all of the details she was able to share made the tour exceptional. If you are a history lover, you will really get your money's worth here. If you have ancestors who came over on the Mayflower, this tour provides a great overview of the area where they settled. Some highlights: * The John Alden house in Duxbury. We had several people on our tour whose ancestors founded that town in 1637. * Quincy, Massachusetts: the John Adams home (Peacefield) and Hancock Cemetery (named after Reverend John Hancock, father of John Hancock who signed the Declaration of Independence.) Also, the first Dunkin Donuts! We filled up on pumpkin donuts. * Filming location of "The Witches of Eastwick." * Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock, Plimoth/Patuxet Museums, National Monument to the Forefathers. A shout out to "Tavern on the Wharf" for the best fish and chips I've ever had. This restaurant is a short walk from the Mayflower II. * And so much more. Beautiful architecture. lovely coastlines, lighthouses. I definitely want to come back and spend a lot more time in this area, but this tour gave us an excellent taste of what is there. We are so glad we signed up. Both I and my 17-year old had a great time. Thank you!

Good day trip overall

Visiting John Adams home and the Plymouth plantation was great. Bus was uncomfortable, we were stuck in the last row.

Thank you for the 4 star review. This is a very popular day trip and does sell out almost every day. We do always leave 2 or 3 seats unoccupied to allow for odd numbered parties, etc. Unfortunately, sometimes someone needs to sit in the back row. I apologize if you were uncomfortable. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

Kristen, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge on the local history. She was an excellent tour guide and went our of her way and off the beaten path to give us an exceptional touring experience of the local history. Our whole group of five was very impressed with her friendly personality, knowledge and willingness to share the rich heritage of the birthplace of our great nation. We will highly recommend this tour to our family and friends.

Kristin was great. She was entertaining and very knowledgeable about the area and history. We saw many sites, not just Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower. Would highly recommend if you have an extra day in Boston.

Great trip with Kristin as guide. She really was fantastic about giving us all information about areas both anecdotal and historical. She grew up in areas so great choice to guide. Only negative was several guests ignored the required masking policy and was never enforced. One person sat in the front row and never wore a mask as required yet was never told to do so. Either have a policy and enforce it or don’t.

Thank you for taking the time to write this 5 star review of our Plymouth day trip. I am glad that you enjoyed your time with Kristin. We do require masks on board our buses as that is both the State and Federal requirement. We do make an announcement prior to each trip that masks must be worn. I am not sure at what point this passenger removed their mask as it sometimes can be difficult to enforce once our guide begins driving. Thank you for your feedback. Kind Regards, Stephen M. tour guide, christie was fun and knowledgable, we were given ample time to view the different sites we visited. the only thing i would suggest would be letting prospective tourists wanting to take tours if you were making a breakfast stop or not. this tour made a stop at the 1st ever Dunkin Donuts, which was nice, but our martha's tour made a stop at a Mcdonalds....we could have gotten a extra hours sleep if we would have known these stops were going to be made....

Thank you for 5 star review of our Plymouth day trip. Our morning stop is meant to be more of a restroom break than a breakfast stop. We don't really advertise it because if we don't have time we don't stop. I appreciate your feedback and am happy that you enjoyed the day. Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
