This activity will end right where it started.We can provide pick-ups only from specific locations due to logistics circumstances. If pick-up is not available from your accommodation, we will establish a convenient meeting point. Drop-off will be made in all major squares of Bucharest: Free Press Square; Victory Square; Revolution Square; Universitatii square; Unirii Square.

  • Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the winter season (September 15 to May 14) and on Mondays during the summer season (May 15 to September 14)

Peles Castle was gorgeous and Bran Castle has the mystique of once being home to Vlad the Impaler and the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. You will enjoy this activity much more, obviously, if you are into that kind of history, but as a side note the countryside of Romania is beautiful, much more than I would have expected, given the recent history of the country.

Eugene was phenomenal! He took the time to explain things and educate the group. He also offered assistance during lunch with ordering and suggestions on what to eat and drink. Our driver, Michael (spelling is off, I'm sure!) Was friendly and did such a great job navigating the summer traffic! Beware, "Dracula's castle" is merely a crusaders castle that Bram Stoker decided looked like a place Dracula would live. Also, I had hoped for an opportunity to photograph the front of the castle but only got the back side.

Visiting the castles was very nice, but the guide was definitely not paying attention to where the group was and wasn't so friendly..we were in one room and she would start explaining what we see in the other room..

It is just a castle without any connection to Dracula. Avoid this tourist trap! It is overcrowded and there is literally nothing to see. You can see the force it to look like it is related to something, but it is actually nothing.

We had a wonderful time on our tour! Monica was a knowledgeable and personable guide. We particularly enjoyed Brasov, and the food stall Monica suggested for mici in Bran was amazing! She also led us to the best ice cream I have ever had the pleasure of tasting in Brasov. The drive feels long, but the driver never made me feel unsafe. Having a guide definitely enhanced the experiences at the castles, and it’s way better value to go this way than to rent a car and go yourself. The only thing I wish is that we’d had a bit more time in Brasov, but it would’ve made for a super long day! We’ll just have to come back another time. :)

The concept of the tour is great. Unfortunately, it felt very rushed and I couldn't fully appreciate my surroundings, particularly at Brasov. The guide was constantly warning us about timekeeping so we didn't return late to Bucharest. Yet, even with all that pressure, we still arrived at least an hour half later than scheduled. It was partly to do with bad weather. We also made pit-stops that slowed us down. I thought perhaps the tour tried to cover too much. However, I know of others who have been on similar outings and had a completely different, positive experience. The best parts of the tour were when we were in transit, and the guide was giving us historical overviews of the significant sites we drove past.

The Transylvania area is very nice, and visiting places such as the Peles Castle and Dracula Castle guided by a person that knows the area and history was great. Our guide (Christy) was really nice and provided very interesting information that allows to understand Romania's history.

A good value for money for what was a long but interesting day. Peles and Brasov were amazing, Bran’s castle was not so great, very touristy and not particularly as rich with cultural history as the former. We were a bit disappointed with this aspect of the trip.
