College Life @ MIT

One of my grandsons has a strong interest in applying to MIT when he is 3 years older. Samantha did a great job of describing student life at MIT and the non-academic side of college life.

Our student guide J Rutledge brought an energy and excitement that made the tour come to life. A mix of history, architecture, and current student life helped to create a full picture of the MIT experience.

Loved the fact that it was an MIT student showing you around. Incredibly interesting if you want to know who invested/donated to MIT. Loved the fact that google, tripadvisor etc have offices based in Toronto to identify the best under grads!
Walk the campus
, Sep 2019
The tour walks round some of the key MIT buildings on the East Campus. The tour guide primarily explained the building purpose, architect and benefactor. There were one or two anecdotes.

The tour guide was not very concerned with the group catching up before he started speaking and wasn't even loud enough. Maybe I had high expectations after I did the Harvard tour which was spectacular

Interesting Walking Tour
, Aug 2019
Tour guide was excellent, enthusiastic and well educated about the history and culture at MIT. My nephew attends University in Germany and is a complete tech geek. I thought it would be good for him to get a glimpse of the college live in the US. I think he enjoyed hearing about various student hacks. I enjoyed seeing the campus and hearing about the history and architecture. I do recommend this tour is you have a couple hours to spend.
