Beautiful and Disorganized
Bethany_G
, Jun 2022
We went to really beautiful sites, and I am grateful that this service exists so that people who, like me, have only a short time in Scotland have the opportunity to see the beautiful places that we did! However, my booking was changed at the last moment to leave an hour later and arrive an hour later than before, and the tour guide did not seem to have a very organized or detailed approach to the historic sites we passed and visited. The experience was beautiful, but confusing, and I don't feel I had my money's worth.

Fantastic day, brilliant guide

Awesome trip with a fantastic driver/guide. Aleix made the journey interesting and fun. He had a great sense of humour which had a lot of the group in stitches laughing at times. He also had great knowledge and interesting stories about so many things along the way. It's a long day but the scenery is worth it. Well placed and interesting stops. The cruise on Loch Ness is optional, but I would recommend not missing it. It was a real highlight of the trip. The day was good value for the money. Overall it was a great day with an exceptional guide who added so much to the day.

A childhood dream come true
Sarah_M

Had a great solo trip on this tour bus. Guide Aleix was a marvel of information, education, focus, and kindness. He did a great job making the history facts fun and I loved how he added music. The trip is a lot more sitting and looking, rather than doing, but that was OK with me. The scenery is absolutely stunning, particularly Glencoe, and definitely worth the long trip. The two hours at the loch seemed like enough to look around, get some lunch, and perhaps find a souvenir. I’ve been interested in Loch Ness since childhood and I’m thrilled that I can now say I have been there.

Not to be recommended

The tour bus is to small & unconfortable for a 12 h Tour, the Tour is not well planed, 6 Stops, 2 h lunch break at lochness way too long for this attraction, two stops at a location without any attractions, clearly just for the reason to bring a group of Tourists to a shopping stop, while driving through different interessting locations e.g. 3 well known Whiskey Distilleries without stopping by, not even for a photo. Driver and tourguides not locals but from abroad... In Short, the Tour is not well planned and clearly not to be recommended!

Gorgeous landscape, great tour guide!

This tour was a great value and memorable part of our vacation to Edinburgh. Our tour guide and driver, Aleix, was extremely kind and informative. He brought the lands we were driving through to life with stories and facts. I never felt like we were on the bus for too long because there were plenty of interesting stops. Definitely recommend for a fun-filled day trip from Edinburgh.

Italian tour guide we could not understand on a Scottish tour?
Tiffany_U
, Jun 2022
The scenery was beautiful but since we were in Scotland we were expecting a Scottish tour guide. Instead we got a driver and tour guide from Italy. NO ONE could understand him and he talked most the way. Many people were frustrated with the experience because we spent so much time on the bus and yet didn’t learn anything because his English was not very good and had a thick accent. The bus was also smaller and slightly dated and not cleaned well. There was an old used tissue in the back of my seat. This could have been a great experience and we could have learned a lot but halfway through the trip we ended up putting our ear pods in and listening to our own music or podcasts to drown out the tour guide.

Not worth it

This trip was very rushed. It felt like we were asked to do everything in a hurry. We stopped in 3-4 scenic places and were given 5 mins in each to take pictures. The audio tour guide was of no help really. The final view was Lochness which was really pretty but we only got 2 hours there so felt less like a vacation and more like a race. Ultimately-too much travelling for a superficial experience. Was exhausted by the end of the day and wish had done something else. Would not do this again. You’re better off renting a car and travelling withfriends

The tour guy was terrible
Thuy_L
, Jun 2022
The problem of this tour was Valentina, our tour guide. If we had an experience tour guide I would give a 5 stars. She did not even know how to check people in. She checked the passengers by her cell phone then told them to queue up in one line (why not let them into the bus!) while she continued checking in others in another queue. In midway she told the verified people getting into the bus and continued checking in others. It was a terrible scene. The departure was late about 30 minutes. She did not tell us the time expectations of each stop in the tour. Her voice was low and hard to understand. How many times the passengers requested her to speak louder! My Londoner seat mate said the tour guide made the trip terrible because we couldn’t understand what she was saying. Luca was a great driver. The vista was beautiful. I would recommend this tour with another tour guy/company. By the way, please do not allow people bring hot food in the bus. The smell of fish and chips in the bus from another passenger was terrible. I had another bus tour with another company in which the tour guy was wonderful. It was an opposite experience comparing to Valentina.

Very long but worth it
Madison_I
, Jun 2022
The trip is very long (12 hours total) but it is worth it and you truly do get to experience a little bit of everything in Scotland. I wish more time could have been spent at the stops rather than on the bus but I understand that it takes lots of travel to cover all these stops in one day. The views and scenery made it worth it.

One day trip LochNess

A lovely long day trip. A very informative guide. And she could have been a bit dramatic in her presentation though. But carried us the entire way interestingly!

DON'T TAKE THIS TOUR. Guide speaks very poor English.
JanisO_P
, Jun 2022
From the reviews I was expecting an English fun-loving Scot. Instead we got a disorganized guide Maria whose first language was obviously not English. She was hard to understand, left late, didn't introduce herself, had poor people skills, and added no personality to the brief descriptions, and often forget to tell us to look right or left. She was a live guide that was lifeless. I did better looking things up on Google that is, if I could decipher what was being said. I envied the other tour busses where the guide stepped out in a kilt.

No english guide was offered. Our guide is just a driver. Amateur guide. Any useful or helpful guide or comments were not offered. Please find another tour company.

Beautiful and educating

The nature and information quality on this tour was amazing. Our guide, Aleix, was very well informed about so much interesting history, movies, whiskey and more. He is from Barcelona, but speaks english very well. Thank you for a nice day.

Nice scenery, could be more interactive
Chelsey_B
, May 2022
The scenery on this tour was absolutely beautiful. However, we were expecting a somewhat interactive experience since we booked with a live guide. We had difficulty both hearing and understanding the guide through headsets and she honestly seemed kind of bored. Note: our tour was booked in English, it’s possible the Spanish and Italian tours are more interactive. The cow, Glencoe, and Loch Ness stops were nice but the Pitlochrie stop was too short to do anything and we would have rather just gotten home faster at that point.

The spectacular views...
Manon_D
, May 2022
The spectacular views when we got there and the long long journey there and back. The guide did his very best to keep us entertained on the journey with his information but it was a long sit speeding past trees through which you could not see beyond to the interesting countryside which we were passing.

It was a wonderful trip. Excellent service. Guide James Joseph(If I am not wrong)was very good, friendly, he has a very good knowledge on the places and the history. He explains everything in detail and clear. Both driver and Guide are very helpful. The trip is worthy for what we paid. They covered what they promised. Over all trip was excellent and great service.

Had a lovely day out in the highlands. Our guide was from Italy- can’t remember his name but had lots of information and stories to tell on the coach. Got us to our destination and rest stops safely to see the beautiful highlands. Would definitely recommend to anyone and hope to return again soon!

It was a great experience...

It was a great experience the only thing I have to say is the audio tour. Sometimes it shuts down you have too go back to the beginning. It also should update itself when your near the place your looking at. Apart from that me and my fiancé had a great day.
