After hotel pickup in Guilin in the morning by your driver, your day tour starts with transportation to the Li River to board your cruise.
As you float along the waterway, enjoy the scenery of karst formations that have been given names such as Reclining Flower Vase, Sword Cut Cliff, and Elephant Trunk Hill. Between the limestone peaks, look for bamboo trees, rice fields tended by local farmers, and water buffalo pulling carts or relaxing in the river. Keep your eyes open, as well, for fishermen on bamboo rafts and maybe even a fishing cormorant.
A box lunch of Chinese cuisine is served on board before you arrive in Yangshuo, a town on the river. Here, meet a guide who helps you get outfitted with your bike. (This guide is a local and may not speak fluent English but can offer information about the surrounding area.) When you're ready, take off on your bike ride from town, pedaling along country roads, past rice paddies, and along green limestone hills. Biking is a great way to get a look at what local life is like in this rural area, plus you'll have views of the scenery.

Itinerary
Your driver will pick you up around 8:00 am at your hotel in Guilin city centre and transfer you to take the cruise on the Li River, which landscape seems to be straight out of a movie.
A cruise along the Li River is a truly unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there’s something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Many of the karst formations are, with a little imagination, reminiscent of animals and objects, with names such as Elephant Trunk Hill, Sword Cut Cliff, Reclining Flower Vase Hill and many more. Between these spectacular limestone peaks you’ll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may also see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you’re very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants.
During the cruise, you will have a traditional Chinese cuisine lunch box on the cruise before arriving to Yangshuo, a river town enclosed by tall karst mountain peaks.

A local guide in Yangshuo will meet you and help you to rent your bicycle. Please note that as he/she will come from a local village, he/she may not have fluent English. However, the/she will have the best knowledge of the surrounding local areas, besides being very friendly.
From Yangshuo city, you will bike onto local small country roads, muddy lanes, and through ride paddies, farmhouses, and green limestone hills. Biking here gives the best insight into the local life in rural China, and is the best way to explore the picturesque sceneries of the region.
After returning your bike, you can head back to your hotel in Yangshuo on your own, or you can select the option of transfer back to Guilin city.
