My experience AT Mui NE was fine, the highlights of the trip were sliding down the sand dunes and the jeep ride. The let down was the journey to and from. As advertised you should be picked up from your hotel, but this required alot of persuading on my behalf. The person of contact kept requesting that i walk to the bus head office as it was very close, when I refused he then told me to take a taxi which he said he would pay for, I refused. AND then to take the absurdity level to another level, he then asked me to take a taxi to Mui Ne at a price of 800,000 to 2 million dong which he assured he would pay for when I arrived in Mui Ne. In the end we agreed that they would just pick me up as advertised. But a few days prior to the trip he asked me the following questions AGAIN. I refused to take an additional taxi to the bus office. The day arrives and I'm herded into a taxi which takes me to a bus office where I'm herded into another van to go to another bus office. Finally the bus arrives but it wasn't the bus I was suppose to be on. I found out that through the contact that I was supposed to be on the earlier and more comfortable and spacious 20 seater bus but instead I was on the later, 30+ cramped and sweaty bus. When I arrived, I then found out that due to the fact I was on the wrong bus, I had missed lunch. I was fine with this as I'm use to fasting but this meant my next meal would be at 11pm. EVERYTHING in between going to and from was fine. Fairy Stream, sand dunes etc etc. I was with my mom and she was starting to get hungry so we had to cut the trip to the red sand dunes short and eat some food before we headed back to HCMC. THEN on the way back, while the manager acknowledged his MISTAKE ON Arrival at Mui NE, he didn't remediate the situation. I stupidly assumed that he would put me on the more comfortable bus on the way back, but this wasn't the case. ANOTHER 5 hours of being in a cramped and sweaty bus to Ho Chi Minh. THE REASON for all of this mess happening to me? I believe the tour company overbooked or had too few people for the 'COMFY BUS' and so they put me on a cheaper bus to take me to Mui Ne. But the times didn't align and I ended up having to miss lunch. I asked some passengers and I grossly overpaid. You are better off going directly to these tour companies which you can find everywhere in HCMC for a quarter of the price. A fraction of price for the same service. On a positive note, he was very quick when replying.
