Start your Hyderabad excursion with a morning pickup from your hotel. You’ll continue to your day’s first stop, at the Golconda Fort.

Take advantage of the morning’s cooler temperatures as you scale the 360 steps of this medieval structure. You’ll then continue on a short trip of 7 miles (12 kilometers) outside the city center to visit the Warangal Fort, a site which was once part of India’s Kakatiya Dynasty that dates back to the 12th century.

Head back to Hyderabad’s city center to enjoy time for lunch (at your own expense). Locals often recommend visitors try out the city’s famous ‘biryani,’ a dish featuring basmati rice, meat, yogurt, onions, and various spices. You’ll continue after your meal break with a visit to The Charminar, a city monument designed in the Qutub Shahi architectural style that’s known as one of the most famous sights in India. You can also climb the monument’s narrow steps to enjoy a sky-high view of the city below.

Proceed next to Laad Bazaar Street, a shopping area offering everything from bangles to bridal accessories to ‘attar’ (essential oil) and antiques. You’ll end the day with a stop at the Mecca Masjid, one of the oldest mosques in town, before receiving a drop-off back at your hotel.

This tour was fantastic and the best way to see Hyderabad in a day. My tour guide was Harsha and he was very energetic, fun, and had a lot of great stories. He was very knowledgeable about everything and accommodating throughout the day which made the entire day that much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hyderabad for fun/business. And the biscuits from the bakery next to Charminar (which you visit on the tour) are phenomenal!

Thorough, comfortable and informative look at Hyderabad with Kumar

I had a wonderful and very informative tour with Kumar. To start with he was flexible and accommodated some last-minute changes in my plans, which was very useful. He was very well prepared and provided a wealth of information throughout, which is what I was looking for. Moreover, I was able to receive thoughtful answers to my many questions, which not only on historical but also cultural and political topics. All the more "practical" aspects of the tour were well prepared or went well: good driver; punctual arrival/departure; nice, comfortable and clean car. I found the walk through the old city the most memorable and enjoyable, and there again I felt like I had good and informative company. I would certainly recommend Kumar and this tour for getting a very thorough, comfortable and informative look at Hyderabad.

This was an excellent tour for those who are in Hyderabad for a short time and wish to see this beautiful city and understand its culture, history and hospitality in a intense and informative 8 hours. Our guide Mt Srinu is superb, immensely knowledgebale and professional. His ability to connect the history of India and the evolution of the city of Hyderabad with what you see physically is enviable. He is able to convey a lot of facts in detail in a simple and concise format that ensures you can fully understand and absorb what he is sharing and showing. We were also impressed by the communication with the operator prior to the tour to ensure we were fully prepared in advance, and Mr Srinu and the driver were on time when we were collected as well as ensuring that the transportation was clean and safe. Overall a wonderful experience. One guiding tip, is do wear comfortable shoes and prepare to do your steps, especially when you visit the fort. Thank you again for everything.

Solo female traveler review

Mr. Srinu is fantastic!! He's an academic -- he has degrees in History and Archaeology, and he is extremely precise, accurate, and knowledgable about the history and current events. I've never had a tour guide in India who is so knowledgeable about history! Also, his love his for his city and country are infectious. As a solo female traveler, I am somewhat nervous about booking anything, and try to be as safe and thorough about the people who's hand I put my safety in as possible. Though this tour is quite expensive, since it has solid reviews, I went for it and am so glad I did! Mr. Srinu was very punctual, reliable, and I felt safe and comfortable during the whole tour, even when we were wading through large crowds. He is also very well-connected in the city. During our day tour, he took me to the best Chai spot I've been to in Hyderabad (and believe me, I am a chai connoisseur, I would not say this lightly!), and also the best biriyani in town (confirmed by many many locals I've talked to now) -- Paradise Cafe. And even more than all this, since I'm living in Hyderabad for a few months, he and I have stayed connected, and he's gone above and beyond by sharing lists of restaurant recommendations, found me a Hindi tutor, and even got me connect to a FABULOUS tour guide for my weekend visit to Varanasi. Thank you Mr. Srinu for making my few months in Hyderabad a safe, educational, and easy to navigate trip! Kiran

Highly Recommended Tour of Hyderabad
hyderkei
, Sep 2019
I highly recommend this tour. This was a full day of sightseeing in Hyderabad. I was picked up at my Hyderabad hotel at 9AM. My guide was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Hyderabad; you're pretty much being guided by a historian. I visited Charminar, Golconda Fort, the Laad Bazaar, and the Warangal Fort. It was very interesting how my guide connected the histories from each site. I was taking photos too and he showed me the best spots to take the best photos. The tour was to be 10 hours but I cut it short after 7 hours. It was hot and humid but the air-conditioned care was a pleasure. The guide and the driver would keep going but we saw a lot in the 7 hours. I was then taken back to my hotel. Highly recommended! Thank you so much for taking me around in Hyderabad!
