Begin with morning pickup at your hotel in Kota Kinabalu and a scenic drive into the wild, northern part of Sabah, where city life gives way to oil palms and coconut plantations. You’ll stop in the communities of Gombizou and Sumangkap to see how locals shape traditional gongs and raise honeybees, then arrive in Bavanggazo village, which is home to a thriving community of indigenous Rungus people.
Visit the local longhouse where families live side by side, and enjoy a traditional lunch before continuing north to Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, about an hour and a half away.
This is where South China Sea meets the Sulu Sea, and you can make your way to the very end of the island to see the two bodies of water meet. You’ll have views of the Pulau Kalampunian lighthouse that protects the treacherous coast during powerful storms, as well as a glimpse of Pantai Kalampunian beach, and don't miss the engraved bronze marker that notes the latitude and longitude of the isolated spot.
After your time at the Tip of Borneo, begin the return trip to Kota Kinabalu, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Itinerary
0700hrs: Pick up from hotel lobby/city area and transfer to Kudat.
The journey takes approximately 3hrs drive passing by scenic countryside, paddy fields, villages, oil palm plantation; local stalls selling handicraft and food items.
En-route, stop by at Borneo Honey Bee Centre for 30 minutes, Sikuati for a short visit. Then, transfer to the next stop at Sumangkap village for 15 minutes, well known for its 'Gong' making skill by its local artisan.

Proceed to Bavanggazo Village for a longhouse visit and spend about 1 hour 15min there. Built entirely using local materials, it is home to the Rungus people community. There are very skilled in creating handicrafts like beadwork, baskets and costumes.

Lunch before proceed to Tanjung Simpang Mengayau also known as the 'Tip of Borneo' (approximately 1 hour 15min drive). Upon arrival, witness the spectacular breath-taking view where the South China Sea and Sulu Sea meets. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu (approximately 3 hours drive).
