Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Receive a pickup from your Kuala Lumpur hotel and head to Merdeka Square, your first stop of the day. This famous public space celebrates Malaysian independence from the British in the mid-20th century. Continue on to the King’s Palace, also known as the Istana Negara, where you can take pictures of the Malaysian monarch’s intricate royal residence.

Ready to take your Kuala Lumpur visit to new heights? Head next to the world-famous Petronas Towers, where you can crane your neck up at these structures that once claimed the title as the world’s tallest buildings. Contrast your visit to these glass and steel architectural marvels by exploring the manicured grounds of Malaysia’s National Mosque, a site whose spectacular main dome is covered in brilliant blue and green tile work.

Continue your Kuala Lumpur adventure by checking out the Chinese Thean Hou Temple, learning about the influence of Chinese religions like Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism on Malaysian culture. Then stop by the Lake Gardens, get a sense of the country’s history at the National Museum and admire the beautiful Kuala Lumpur Railway Station.

Cap off your trip by paying your respects to those who lost their lives in the Malaysian struggle for independence at the Tugu Negara (National Monument), designed by American architect Felix de Weldon. At the end of the tour return to your hotel aboard your minivan.

Driver was very knowledgeable but did point out he was a driver not a tour guide which surprised us. Very efficient service from Asni Tours though and would recommend.

Discussions on Malaysia and football
jonesdl
, Feb 2020
I was the only one on the tour. Most other people preferred the hop on hop off. This tour involved a drive around some of the main sites. It didn’t cover the large number of sites the hop on hop off did however it’s strength was the discussion on Malaysia and its culture. I was able to ask any questions I wanted and got pretty straight answers. So all good in the end.

Seeing the museum.

I felt they took you to a store to buy chocolate and another store to buy painted pictures. That left only 10 minutes to take a picture outside of the Patronas tower and then they said there wouldn’t be time to go inside the museum. We decided to go inside the museum and take a grab taxi back to the hotel on our own. By then half of the people in the tour had left the tour prior to the end.

A bit boring and unnecessary at parts

There were some stops that were just shops essentially. The best stop is the National Museum, our guide advised us not to go in but I’m glad I did and only cost RM5. it was a great museum. I would’ve rather have spent more time there than at a chocolate ‘factory’ which was just a shop and a clothes store.
