After booking, the operator will contact you about pickup time.

Hotel pickup is available from most centrally located inside Mui Ne beach only, Transfer outside these areas, supplements apply.
Receive an early morning pickup from your hotel in Phan Tiet or Mui Ne. From there you’ll continue driving along the Vietnam coast, passing by a scenic lighthouse and numerous small villages while en route to the mountain.

Once you arrive at Ta Ku, climb aboard the mountain’s cable cars for a laid-back (and scenic) 10-minute ride to the top. As the cable car climbs ever higher, you’re likely to feel the change in air temperature and hear the calls of birds wafting up to your ears. When you disembark from the cable car, walk for 980 feet (300 meters) to the mountain’s Reclining Buddha. Admire this giant religious landmark, a statue which is 160-feet (49-meters) long and 36 feet (11 meters) high.

Continue the trip by stopping for lunch at a local restaurant situated on the mountain, during which your guide will share details about the Buddha statue’s origins. After lunch you’ll return back to the base of the mountain by cable car before continuing your trip back. On the way home, stop at factory that produces Vietnamese sauce, one of the country’s more famous cooking ingredients. You’ll be dropped off by late afternoon.
Itinerary
Pass By:
Khê Ga
Leave Phan Thiet in the early morning for a scenic drive to the Ta Ku Mountains. The drive along the coastal road is very enjoyable as the land becomes increasingly drier and the area more rural. Apart from the beautiful views of the sea, you pass by Khe Ga, a very much photographed lighthouse, numerous small hamlets and villages and you get a chance to see the local population, who are mostly unaffected by tourism. You will spot Ta Ku Mountain from a distance as it rises up from the flat surrounding landscape. The climb to the top via its stairs and paths are for the extremely fit, yet we opt for the cable cart that swiftly and safely reaches the top of the mountain. As the cable car ascends, the air becomes cooler and you can begin to hear the rustle of the trees with the wind and the singing of the birds.

The Buddha is about 11 meters high and 49 meters long and is surrounded by trees, protecting it from the elements. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, known for its excellent Vietnamese cuisine, after your guide will tell you the story about this immense Buddha image. The fact that Buddhist practitioners this place is considered sacred and pilgrimages here says enough about the importance of this mountain and its reclining Buddha image. Our day ends with a visit to a fish sauce factory, one of Asia’s stable ingredients that make Vietnamese food so definable Vietnamese. You will arrive back at your hotel in the late afternoon.

What a day that was! Tun our guide was great so knowledgeable and we did so much. Visited a dragon fruit plantation, went to see the oldest lighthouse and fishing boats. Cable car halfway up mountain, then lots of walking. If you have leg or feet problems , be aware of lots of uneven ground. It was worth it to get to the top to see the largest lying Buddha.
