The Very Best of Rhodes

We highly recommend Mike's private tour of Rhodes. He is an excellent driver (much appreciated by my daughter who was often motion sick in Rome cabs). He took us all around the island. He took lots of family photos. He is very knowledgeable and gave us just the right amount of history on our tour. We requested that he take us to the olive oil farm rather than the pottery shop. He gave us free time in Lindos to climb the acropolis but did not guide our tour there. A highlight was the restaurant he took us to for lunch. It was out of the high tourist areas but right on a beach and the food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Our guide Tassos was knowledgeable and engaging. He took us places on Rhodes that were appropriate for us. For example we visited the Kalithea cats as I am a retired veterinarian. We also stopped and had a taste of Suoma which is only found on Rhodes and one other island. Of course we also saw all the “Best of Rhodes “ highlights.

Enjoyed an authentic Greek meal we enjoyed greatly. We were disappointed our guide, while good, did not give us more information about Rhodes. He did answer our questions, however. He pretty much was just a driver rather than a true guide like we had on our next two ship excursions.

Very extensive tour. Driver was very accommodating, adjusting the itinerary as needed. Vehicle was very nice, new Mercedes.

Mike gave us a great tour. He was early to pick us us at the hotel, very knowledgeable about the history of the island, and the tour was just what we wanted. He located an off the path great spot for us to have a lovely lunch in a remote cove on the water. Did not rush us at all. Highly recommend.

This was really an amazing day! Mike was professional, kind, informative, and attentive to details. There could not be a better way to experience Rhodes, and this tour is highly recommended. Thanks for taking such great care of us Mike and showing us your lovely island.

Our guide from RhodesLeisure was absolutely the best on our 20 day trip. My wife and I, traveling with our 9 and 11 year old, were fascinated with how beautiful this island was and Mike showed us all everything. We hit all of the big sites but also visited private beach areas where we were the only ones around; we know have some of the best photos of our family. He stopped and picked fresh herbs for us to smell and fruit for us to taste providing insight into how he and other locals are passionate about their home. He finished our day with surprise Baklava which he provided at no cost to us. This was not just any Baklava, but the best I have ever tasted, and was dripping with excellence; the stop was not on the itinerary and felt like he just wanted to treat our children to the best dessert he knew. His local knowledge, passion for his home and attention to detail made him the best tour guide I have ever witnessed and I am very thankful.
