Ok tour, but did not go to the Shanghai Museum

We were picked up at the hotel and then had to drive to other hotels through lots of traffic to pick up others. This was an 8 hour tour of Shanghai that I booked through Viator, which included the Yu Gardens, a Ming dynasty park of ponds, caves and pavilions. We also visited Old Street to see its classic Ming- and Qing buildings and teashops and the Jade Buddha Temple and Xin Tian Di district. The tour included a stop at the “Pearl Museum”, where they told us about fresh water and salt water pearls and tried to sell us some. After lunch which included many dishes on a lazy Susan, we were then taken to the “silk museum” where we learned about the silk harvesting process and they tried to sell us items made with silk, especially silk-filled duvets. We then went to the area of the former French Concession. There was a lot of "selling" on this tour, but I realize that China requires some ot this on tours.

We're sorry that our tour doesn't meet your expectation. Sometimes there's a long line at the gate of Shanghai Museum, it often takes more than one hour to get in. Usually our backup plan is to visit the Shikumen Wulixiang Museum instead, our tour guide will ask guests first before changing to this plan. Thank your for understanding.
