Delightful Experience in the Heart of Chinatown.

Loved it!!! Helen was a delightful and very knowledgeable leader. She shared many of the Cultural and Historical facts which were very very interesting. Mrs. Lee was a sweet woman who assisted us too. We made three different dishes. We used a Mortar and Pestle to crush some of the ingredients. It was a lot of work but lots of fun too. We got to eat what we made.
We had a very interesting and enjoyable morning cooking our lunch. We learned some new ingredients and was with a small group of people (approx 12) who were great. Our hosts were helpful and obliging. We enjoyed our day learning some new recipes.
I had a marvellous time at 2 of these cooking classes in August 2019. The instructors were most informative about the origins of the dishes that we learnt to prepare. The hands on cooking was a lot of fun and broad array of international participants made it all the more interesting. I now know how to impress family and friends with the Best Char Kway Teow, Satay Sticks, Hainanese Chicken rice and wanton soup around . I loved these classes and will most likely return next year for another. Thankyou to Mary, Sarah and Helen for a great class.

We had a wonderful mid- day cooking class of the traditional Chicken and Rice found throughout the area. We learned many cooking tips as we worked our way through the menu. The teachers are local ladies who want to continue to share the traditional dishes of Singapore, and supplement their income at the same time. We finished off sharing a delicious lunch of the fruit of our labors. Upon completing the class, we were emailed not only the recipes, but also numerous pictures taken throughout the class.
'YY' was an excellent host, demonstrating how to cook our Chinese dish from scratch - no short cuts with pre-made ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed this class and would recommend it to everyone. She also let the class know some history of the Chinese people in Singapore.
We really enjoyed the class. Teresa was very informative about the food , culture, and family life in Singapore. Delicious food prepared. Very clean. Lovely presentation. Only some negatives not enough cooking ,,, only two dishes and a lot of pre - talking. About 45 minutes until we actually cooked. Also only gave 2 recipes out and no free apron , also would of liked a pen and paper to take notes. All in all a wonderful morning spent and fantastic that is employing stay at home mums. A great business and yummy food. Ian and sophie Perth australia.
Mary and Theresa were awesome. Really enjoyed their cooking class , but I really wished I had more time in Singapore to take even more classes. Singapore dishes are time consuming but the end result was a delicious meal comparable to the ones at the famous hawker centers. Can’t wait to try the recipe back home.
This was a wonderful cooking class, I really enjoyed it. The chef instructors were very skilled and knowledgeable which helped us understand the cooking process and the whys of how everything fit together. I learned much and would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning about Singapore cuisine.
