The Lounge and Food was ok but many of the seats are old and dirty. And please be aware, the Lounge is behind the security you have to check in your luggage first. Check with your airline when check in starts.
We paid for the use of this lounge prior to our flight leaving Singapore. When we got to the airport we found that we could only check in for our flight no earlier than 2 1/2 hours before our scheduled flight time. This lounge happened to be on the "other side" of security and we could not take our luggage with us through security to this lounge. There was no one to contact at this lounge for assistance and with my attempt to cancel I was told I would get no refund.
This was a terrible experience, I'm out over $150 and so far Viator has been little help. This is extremely disappointing.
The staff were wonderful, but there was one gentleman who couldn’t do enough for me (unfortunately I didn’t get his name).
The lounge and facilities were excellent. I would not hesitate to avail myself of these facilities in future trips.
Sorry I now realise we were there in December if you are trying to find my reference of BR-759575064. I will write similar to what I put on my review for January 2020. There were 3 of us and when we arrived and asked for a shower we were told we should have booked, not something that is in the paperwork. and this wait would be for at least 2 hours. We also wanted to use the toilets but both the male and female ones were closed so we had to wait for them as well. I videoed the carpet which I suggest had not been cleaned since the day it was fitted. We did not really need the food but what was on the plane was better. We did speak to reception about our issues but were told it was nothing to do with them and to complain to Viator. I have never had to write a bad revue before but I could not let this pass. I would like to find a way of getting my money back.
Paperwork says nothing at all about booking showers 2 hours in advance so we were too late even before we got there. Coupled with this the toilets and I mean all of the toilets, both male and female were closed at the same time for cleaning as were the showers so even booking the shower in advance we would not have been able to use them. I did video the state of the carpets which I suggest have never been cleaned since they were first laid. Didn't really need the food as what was on the plane was better. This issues were brought to the attention of staff at reception but their only response was to say our issue was with Viator and not them. Never had to put a bad revue about anything in the past but this could not be left unsaid particularly as you have asked me to share our experience. I do have to find a way of getting all of our money reimbursed.
We were extremely disappointed. We were leaving from Terminal 3 and it took over an hour for a Singapore Airlines personnel to discover that in fact this lounge was in Terminal 1. Hence we did not have enough time or energy to relocate the lounge in Terminal 1 . We forfeited the $100 we had spent on the voucher. Sheer waste of our money!
The Lounge is easy to find. It offers a wide variety of international food items for all tastes; hot, cold, salads and more.. The staff is friendly and helpful. You get a sense of welcome from them. They lay out is very good. Perhaps because of the Holidays, it was full of unruly, loud kids. Overall it's clean. There are specific areas on carpets and furniture that needed a bit of cleaning. These were in high traffic areas. They can improve the wine selections. Wi-Fi connection was very good.
We used this lounge for a four hour stopover from Melbourne to Zurich. IT was good to have a dedicated relatively private place to sit. It has showers, but beware of waiting times and put your name on a list as soon as you get there or you may miss out. The drinks were good (non-alcoholic) but the food pretty awful. It's astounding in a place as diverse as Singapore you can still get small white bread slices and plastic cheese slices. Better to pick something up in the food court. You also need to be aware of the shlep factor - the lounge and your gate(s) may be a long way apart and you need to factor that in to the time available. In the past we have used the transit hotel, and while more expensive, it is a better option with your own bathroom, a bed and complete privacy.
