Return Details

Returns to original departure point
After hotel pickup, your tour starts with the drive by coach to Chinatown, one of Singapore’s liveliest neighborhoods. With your guide, walk along the bustling streets lined with restaurants and market stalls as you hear about the history the district, dating back to when early Chinese immigrants arrived here.

Then visit a Chinatown restaurant for dinner before heading to the Night Market, where you can bargain with vendors to purchase gifts and souvenirs from some of the many stalls, if you wish.

Next, the exciting part of your evening begins as you hop on a 2-seat trishaw, pedaled by a cyclist-chauffeur, for a ride through the busy lanes of Little India and Bugis Village.

Then, trade the trishaw for a bumboat, a modern replica of a traditional riverboat once used to carry cargo up the Singapore River. Onboard, glide along the river and admire Singapore’s illuminated skyline, including Marina Bay Sands Resort and the Merlion statue. When you get off the boat, your tour ends with hotel drop-off.

Bum boat Cruise

The tour was nothing like that portrayed in the video. We had dinner in a restaurant which was in the Hotel Capri. Disappointingly the original restaurant booking was cancelled due to renovations. There was no walk through China Town markets, but rather the foyer of a shopping plaza, where there were some displays depicting chinese life in Singapore. Trishaw ride was through parts of Little India, bum boat ride was pleasant. The high light was the guide Richard, he was very entertaining, and bumboat cruise.

Disappointed

The food was disappointing--it was pretty westernized Chinese food: soup of the day, a tofu dish, sweet and sour fish, chicken stir fry, and stir fried pak choi and mango sago. Nothing different than anything we could have got home in Scotland. There are so many other authentic, great dishes in Singapore that could have been part of this that would have made it better. In fact the tour guide mentioned a local restaurant which had been awarded a one michelin star which was inexpensive - this may have provided a more authentic reflection of Singapore. We also ordered two bottles of beer at the restaurant - got 2 pints and charged nearly 3 x the price of what we had originally ordered. We were almost ready to give up the rest of the tour at this point, but it did get better. The trishaw ride was one of the highlights of the tour. After that we boarded the river boat which was the highlight of the night. It was enjoyable and provided great views of Marina Bay and the areas along the river. Our lasting impression is that we could have done the trishaw ride and the boat tour on our own for much cheaper. The tour guide did a good job - was informative and interesting to listen to.

Dear David, Regret to hear that the dinner has not live up to your expectation. Most of the restaurant/ stalls for authentic local foods in Singapore cannot accommodation large group of people due to it's limited capacity. In addition since they are popular, longer waiting time is expected. Due to time constraint for our tour, we cannot really go to this places. Usually we do received lots of positive words for this restaurant. Anyhow we appreciate your constructive comment and will feedback to our product team in order to improve our service. Also glad to hear that you enjoyed the Trishaw as well as the bumboat ride ^^ Best wishes to you and your loved one.
