Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
After meeting up with your friendly team of tour driver and knowledgeable guide, we begin our journey into limestone country with gently rolling hills and honey-coloured cottages. On arrival there will be a full tour followed by optional entry to The Roman Baths

The Roman Baths
On this visit to Bath, you'll along the original Roman paving, admire the steaming Roman Baths and see the ruins of the temple. The city is also home to the Jane Austen Centre, offering you a window into how it would have been to have lived in Regency times.  Should you wish to include entry to the Roman Baths, please purchase the 'Entry included' option when booking this tour.

Safe, interesting, leisurely way to see Bath and Windsor Castle

We needed reliable transportation from Southampton cruise port to our Heathrow hotel, and this tour fit the bill perfectly. Our guide, Maj, waited patiently for us to exit our cruise ship after a docking delay. Throughout the all-day tour, he and our driver, Michael, were kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the places we visited. Thanks so much.

Enjoyed the experience of a personalized transfer from Southampton to Heathrow with stops at Bath and Windsor. The driver and guide were great. Pickup at the ship was on time and easy. Had time to walk around both stops and enjoyed both areas. Sure beats a non-stop van ride from point A to point B.

Cruise ship..... to London

Cruise docked in Southampton needed a ride to London to continue our vacation .., and there was Viator. Mini van 6 passengers and a fantastic ride to Bath and Windsor. Our driver Paul and guide Valentina were incredible. His driving and extra sight seeing surprises and her narratives, friendliness and fantastic personality made the 10 hours speed by. Thank you both

Hopeless Tour Guide (Steve) who gave us no free time, no lunch break and cut our tour short by 1.5 hours.

Driver (Brian) was great. Tour Guide (Steve) was hopeless. Picked up on time for a 8.5 hours day, not 10 hours as advertised. 1. We needed some free time in both cities, and we needed a lunch break at the very least. 2. The tour must have an organised and knowledgeable tour guide. 3. Your advertisement would be better to advise customers to pre-book Windsor Castle tickets. Firstly, in Bath, I missed hearing we only had 45 mins for the Museum. I came out to find my husband waiting (I was 15 mins late) but Steve and the group had gone on a walking tour. Steve showed my husband a map and the approximate root of the tour, but we could not find him. As instructed, we were back at the van at 12md.....but no Steve. He turned up at 12.05 and told the driver (who was parked in a drop-off only zone) he and the rest of the group were having a snack at a cafe and would be 5 mins; we were not invited to join them. The group returned 12.15. Having last eaten at 6am we were famished.. Secondly, we arrived at Windsor castle without pre-booked tickets only to find a huge cue (do not know if this is normal). The American couple had tickets and went straight in. Steve said no point lining up so dragged us quickly through Queen Victoria's train station and over to the Thames river when it started raining, we found shelter, but Steve dragged us out into the pouring rain and around the corner to see where the fish market and some huts used to be. By now, 3.30pm, standing in the rain, we requested to eat. He left us and went back to find the Americans. We had 30 mins to eat and return to the bus at 4pm. The Americans had enjoyed free time after finishing the castle tour. When we returned to the bus we found the cue of people had all gone through the castle and that we could have lined up and seen the castle after all. Steve was only interested in finishing early. Left Windsor at 4pm and were dropped off 4.30pm. So much for the 10 hour tour !!!!!

Venues good but information and tour guide poor.

Our tour guide (Steve) was not professional enough. His history knowledge was inadequate and lacked fluid commentary. The Windsor Castle tour was to be the highlight. The tour description indicated that ticketing for the Castle tour could be done on the day (which is what we chose ). BIG MISTAKE! Queues for the tour were 2 hours long! which meant we were UNABLE TO SEE THE CASTLE! Pre-purchased tickets would had seen us go straight through. Why was this not explained?

Great Post Cruise Tour

This was a very convenient and fun way to finish a cruise off. Met at the cruise terminal - easy to spot tour guide who brought us to the bus. The tour through Bath and the Baths were nice. The Pub lunch was great with plenty of time to explore the town. Very convenient getting dropped off at the hotel.

Expected More.

We were expecting more from this tour. Pickup was right on time. However, we didn't get much information about the area - only what needed to be said about the two places we visited - nothing extra. Most of the time the six of us rode in the van very quietly. I compare this to the tour we had with Kara on Sunday when we visited the same places, but she provided information at all times. However, our driver, Paul, did an excellent job and was very personable.

Our post-cruise excursion was one of...

Our post-cruise excursion was one of the highlights of our trip. We retrieved our luggage at the cruise port in Southampton and the bus was waiting right outside the exit door. The scheduled pick-up time was 8:00 am with an 8:30 am departure time but the bus was there by 7:30 am and all of the travelers were loaded early and we got an early start on our way to Bath. There was some confusion for travelers who had booked the tour through Viator versus those who had booked it directly with the tour company. The Viator website did not specify that you had to book the tickets for the Roman baths in addition to the tour price so we didn't have tickets, nor did about half of our traveling companions. Our tour guide was very helpful and sold Roman bath tickets at the pre-tour group price. We didn't have a problem with doing so but there was one family who was somewhat upset over having to pay more to actually see the Roman baths. This is something to keep in mind! The Costwold village that we visited for lunch, Labcock, was beautiful and the lunch was very good. We had plenty of time to walk around the village taking pictures, including pictures of a couple of houses from the Harry Potter movies. After that the bus driver dropped off everyone at their hotels near Heathrow or in London. We were the first ones dropped off so we got to our hotel a little earlier than expected, which was another bonus.
