Itinerary
Stop At:
Taipei 101
The first stop on your Taipei night tour is the iconic landmark, Taipei 101. This shining skyscraper was once the tallest building in the world that reaches a height of 508 meters, towering over the skyline of Taipei. The building has 101 stories, with an observatory deck on the 89th floor, where the visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Taipei City. Not only that, it has one of the top 3 fastest elevators in the world; from the 5th to the 89th floor, it only takes 37 seconds. The skyscraper is adjoined by a multilevel shopping mall—Taipei 101 Mall. The mall houses hundreds of fashionable stores and restaurants, along with a food court and a supermarket. From luxury brands to fast fashion retailers, from Michelin star restaurants to cheap eats, you can always find something for your there.

After that, it’s time enjoy a delectable Xiaolongbao dinner at the Michelin Bib Gourmand selected, world-renowned restaurant chain—Din Tai Fung. Din Tai Fung was founded in Taiwan in 1958, initially a cooking oil retailer, and then transformed to a restaurant serving Xiaolongbao in 1972. Today, the restaurant is renowned for its juicy and savory Xiaolongbao (steamed pork dumplings) that are wrapped with paper-thin dough wrappers and folded exquisitely with 18 perfect folds. In addition to Xiaolongbao, a number of its signature dishes will be served, such as hot and sour soup, shredded pork fried rice, seasonal vegetable, etc. (menu items are subject to change according to seasonality and availability)

Raohe Street Night Market
Besides the luxurious shopping malls and the fine dining restaurants, Taiwan is also well-known for the night markets. Of course, you won’t miss out on that during your Taipei night tour! After dinner, you will visit the bustling Raohe Street Tourist Night Market. If you still have room for dessert or snack after dinner, the dazzling array of food stalls in the night market won’t let you down! Black pepper bun, oyster vermicelli, spare ribs stewed in herbal soup, iced sweet glutinous rice dumplings and many more, will make you eat nonstop.

Stop At:
Rainbow Bridge
After a food adventure at Raohe Street Tourist Night Market, you can take a walk across the Rainbow Bridge nearby. The red-painted bridge spans Keelung River, which can be accessed by foot and by bicycle. Strolling on the bridge, you enjoy the city lights over the other side of the river.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At:
Songshan Ciyou Temple
Before the end of the night tour, you will make a visit to Songshan Ciyou Temple and experience Taiwan’s religious beliefs and practices. The temple was built in 1753, dedicated to “Black Faced Mazu”, Goddess of the Sea. The three tiered roof are richly decorated with Chinese traditional ornaments, such as the flying dragons and the figures of deities, featuring the Chinese myths; the ornaments are crafted with Koji Pottery. The stone lions at the main gate are worth taking a look at, too. The male lion is portrayed with an open mouth, and female lion with a closed mouth, symbolizing “yin and yang” in Taoist metaphysics. The interior of the temple is just as amazing, that you will come to find out.

An experience for the senses!

The night tour was brief but educational. It could have included an appetizer or a sample from the street food along the way. Din Tai Fung at 101 is a delight. It’s good we took this tour because the waiting time for Dinner is about an hour at a good time.

This was not a Taipei night tour. Rather, it was a 10 minute hurried walk through a night market. A similarly hurried walk through a temple, and then dinner at Taipei 101. I expected much more. All in all, it was disappointing.

Thank you for sharing a review about the airport transfer. We are very sorry about the poor service you experienced. Due to the limit of time, we are afraid the guests could not spend much time at each stop. We will review the tour schedule and improve the customer experience in the future. Please accept our sincere apologies.

It was good to get a taste of the night life in Taipei. Waiting time for Din Tai Fung was 2 hours but we got seated in 40 minutes so that was a nice surprise.

I thought we were going to get a chance to go to the top of Taipei 101. Three of us on the tour even wanted to buy skip the line passes. We were told we did not have enough time. So we did not have an opportunity to go to the observation point. And Din Tai Fung was nothing special. There are far superior places to go in Taipei.

A good way to see a few sights of Taipei if youre here for a limited time. We enjoyed our dinner at Din Tai Fung. We also had a wonderful driver and tour guide which made this tour even better.

It's a good tour but the guide rushed through the night market and didn't really explain much. He was okay during the temple tour. Left us for dinner with no comments on what to expect. The tour is good but the guide could have been better, perhaps the one from my half day tour.

Wonderful tour of the most interesting temple in Taipei, an unusual snake night market, and Taipei 101 with more food than you could eat at Din Tai Fung. We have eaten at home at this restaurant and this one is a much better quality!

We were picked up late which is no big deal but the man who was to be our guide should change his job. He barely said much and basically had us visit various places without giving much information or background. I wanted to learn about Taipei and Taiwan culture but simply pointing out fruit or massage parlors is not what a guide should do. He was a much older man and maybe that played a part in his listless tour. Total waste of money and that guide should retire. I would pass on this if I were you and just visit these places on your own. As for Taipei 101 or Din Tai Fung. The place was a zoo and we had to wait a good 30 minutes for a meal which I could have done on without being part of the tour. The food was okay but I would not dine there again. It's over rated.

Felix, our guide did a great job of explaining the history of the areas we visited. Our tour of the Huaxi Night Market was a lot of fun. Being a bit of a 'foodie' I would have liked to have had some time to sample the food. Felix, advised against it, fearing it might make us sick. The Din Tai Fung dinner was excellent.

This was the worst tour I've ever had. I've been to free tours that were much better than this, and I've been on several Viator tours so I expected a better experience. The positives: the tour guide was a nice man and the van was comfortable and prompt. At Din Tai Fung the food was plentiful and delicious The negatives: Our tour guide was not informative and seemed inexperienced in that position. He was unable to answers many questions about the sights and about Taipei that were asked. He also spoke with heavily accented Chinese which made him difficult to understand. To make matters worse he often spoke while we were walking or while he wasn't facing us so that we couldn't read his lips. Additionally, I was extremely disappointed with the night market that was chosen for this tour. It had nothing that was even remotely appealing or that gave tourists an idea of how vibrant the night markets in Taipei truly are. It had massage parlours and snakes. No street food. No life. It was a complete and utter letdown. I'm lucky that I had more nights in the city because I was able to visit night markets that were truly representative of the city on my own. The final and I'd say one of the most disappointing parts of the tour was the end. I was aware that the Taipei 101 observation deck price was not included, but I thought that we'd have the opportunity to visit. We were told that this was not an option. Instead we toured the inside of a mall including the Apple Store. I was shocked.

My friend and I booked this tour as an efficient way to have dinner at a busy, popular restaurant that doesn't take reservations Din Tai Fung and see some things that would be good to have a guide explain to us night market, temple. We were extremely disappointed in the tour. The tour that we thought we were going to have was, in this order: 1. Longshan Temple 2. Huaxi Street night market 3. Din Tai Fung 4. Taipei 101 We were dropped off at Taipei 101 first, where Din Tai Fung was also located. The first thing that we did was eat. Another couple on our tour had been with Felix earlier in the afternoon, and they asked him if they should eat something prior to the tour. He told them yes, and they had their McDonald's wrappers with them in the van. I would have been furious if that had happened to me! The food at Din Tai Fung was very good, but Felix was nowhere to be found to explain the food. We had to flag down servers to ask them what was in each dish, and some of them did not speak English and couldn't help us. We then went up to the observation deck of Taipei 101. One of the members of our group stayed behind as he had already been up to the top, and the ticket was an additional charge on top of the tour fee. Felix asked us to walk around the observation deck and meet back near the exit to go back down the elevator at a certain time. Half of our group took a few minutes longer, but it was very crowded. Felix was super upset at this tardiness and almost reprimanded the couple of people who took slightly longer than asked. Our other group member was downstairs waiting for us, he said, so we had to hurry back. Our other group member knew that he would be on his own for a while, so I didn't think there needed to be such a need to rush. We zoomed past the damper ball which sounded interesting to me, but I didn't get to read any of the information about it. Felix also didn't share any information with us. We then drove to the night market. We walked through the shops and Felix didn't talk much. Every so often he would point out something interesting, or very briefly explain it to the two or three people closest to him and then keep going. The last stop was the temple, where Felix talked the most. However, even that wasn't very informative. Felix's English was not that great, so it was difficult to understand him. Overall, I did not think that the tour provided the value that I was expecting.
